As one of the founding directors of Sunsail Yacht Charters in Australia in 1994, Mark was responsible for the development of the Hamilton Island base and its fleets, overseeing the highly successfully importation of Fountaine Pajot Catamarans into Australia. In 2008, Mark founded Multihull Solutions, which has expanded throughout the Asia Pacific, successfully importing a range of high-quality yachting brands and growing a loyal community of owners. In 2019, the launch of ILIAD Catamarans’ range of luxury motor yachts was an immediate success and was followed by the development and launch of the monohull-focussed company The Yacht Sales Co in 2020. Mark’s extensive experience and enthusiasm for the continued growth of the marine industry is unwavering, and his vision and leadership exemplary.
Nod entered the engineering industry at a young age and now brings over 20 years of specialist marine engineering experience to the Global Marine Group. Originally an aircraft engineer, he moved into superyachts completing several seasons in the Mediterranean and US maintaining the spectacular 50m MY Michaela Rose. As well as commissioning a large variety of imported and domestic production boats over the last 15 years, Nod completed several Atlantic and Pacific Ocean crossings, became an AYF Offshore Yacht Master and sailed in various Sydney to Hobart races. Heading the service department and managing all operations for Global Marine and subsequent brands, Nod is the consummate technical operations officer and prides himself on delivering exceptional client service.
Wayne graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Business/Accountancy degree and started his career in the automotive industry, rapidly working his way up the ladder to become general manager for a major car dealership. Wayne has also operated his own finance business for five years, worked as financial controller at a major motorcycle dealership and has now been with the Global Marine Group for over six years ensuring financial security and providing invaluable advice.
Marcus has carved out a marine career in some of the world’s most beautiful cruising locations, including the Whitsundays, Greece and Thailand. He worked as base manager for Sunsail’s Phuket operations before establishing a luxury motor yacht charter company in Thailand in 2004. Marcus transferred his vast knowledge of the marine industry to a position with one of Thailand’s most established yacht brokerage companies, successfully selling hundreds of vessels for the Riviera, Ferretti, Pershing and Riva, and now is responsible for the business and sales development of ILIAD Catamarans in Australia.
